In Nigeria, more than 200 schoolgirls remain missing, and a new video released by Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram claims to show about 100 of the girls who were kidnapped. Abubakar Shekau, the leader of Boko Haram, said the girls would be held until all imprisoned militants had been freed.

According to a report issued Friday by Amnesty International, the Nigerian military had more than four hours of advance warning about the kidnappings by the terrorist organization, but they failed to act.

The revelation raises questions about whether the tragedy could have been prevented, and whether intelligence gathered by aid groups is considered seriously by authorities.

Makmid Kamara, a Nigeria researcher for Amnesty International, explains how Amnesty gathered the information about the pending attack, and whether the kidnapping could have been prevented.
